February Q&A

The shortest month often marks a shift in perspective. As the initial rush of the year settles, we begin to look at our homes with more intention—noticing where the architecture needs more soul and where our daily rituals require more support.

This month’s Q&A dives into the strategic side of high-end design: from the art of custom curation to creating spaces that prioritize well-being.

Q: Why is bespoke (custom) furniture so central to your projects?

In high-end residential design, "off-the-shelf" rarely captures the full potential of a room. I prioritize bespoke furniture and custom cabinetry because they allow us to solve specific architectural challenges while reflecting the client's exact proportions and aesthetic. This level of customization offers an exclusivity that my clients value—knowing that a piece was designed specifically for their home, ensuring a fit and a finish that simply cannot be replicated.

Luxury home office featuring custom dark wood cabinetry, a bespoke executive desk with a white marble pedestal base, and modern camel-toned swivel chairs. The space includes sculptural pendant lighting and illuminated shelving with curated art pieces.

True luxury is the exclusivity of a home designed specifically for your life.

Q: How do you design for "Wellness" without compromising high-end aesthetics?

Wellness in interior design is about more than just trends; it’s about how a space affects your nervous system. For my clients, this means a sophisticated approach to biophilic design, maximizing natural light, and selecting tactile, natural materials like stone and organic linens. We create environments that feel like a sanctuary—where the atmosphere is as refined as it is restorative.

A home should be a quiet luxury that supports your physical and emotional well-being.

Q: What is the benefit of a "Full-Service" interior design experience?

For my clients, time is the most valuable asset. A full-service interior design (turnkey) approach means I manage the entire journey—from the initial conceptual drawings and 3D renderings to the final installation of art and accessories. It’s about providing a seamless experience where the client can enjoy the creative process without the stress of logistics, ensuring the original vision is executed to the highest standard.

The greatest luxury is the peace of mind that comes from expert guidance.

Q: How do you ensure a large, open-concept space still feels intimate?

Intimacy in large-scale homes is achieved through spatial layering. We use bespoke rugs to define "islands" of conversation, varied lighting levels to create warmth, and a careful mix of textures to soften the architecture. By creating smaller, intentional zones within a larger room, the home remains grand for hosting but stays cozy for the quiet, private moments of family life.

Great design balances the impressive with the inviting.
